Paws With A Cause Weekend

This weekend Don't Forget the Dog, LLC is celebrating life, both human and pet! We are celebrating the important role our dogs play in the healing process, by donating 50% of all ”Paws with a Cause” treat sales to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® fund through one of our biggest fans Mom, Missy Blundell!

This November, our friend Zoe’s Mom, and her team the Golden Girls will be participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day® walk, a 60-mile walk which takes place over the course of three days and honors our loved onnes, the ones we have lost, the ones who are still fighting, and the ones who have survived.

To help support Zoe and her mom, and thank your dog for the important role they play in making you smile, we hope you will come out this weekend and purchase a hand dipped pink ribbon treat from Don’t Forget the Dog, LLC! Treats will be available at the Shawnee Farmers Market from 7:00 a.m. – Noon and at Lenexa’s Tails on the Trails event from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15th!

Dogs are known as man's best friend! Their loyalty is everlasting, their ability to recognize human struggles and make you smile is immeasurable! Their calming effect allows you to relax and heal. Their need for touch provides you an opportunity to touch and be touched, allowing you a chance to express your need for physical contact, a need that doctors have proven to be a very important in your psychological health and well being.
