Do you want to know where Don't Forget the Dog really came from? A crazy treat lady. . . Add a Pug, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a Mutt, and a mom who adores her granddog, and you have Don't Forget the Dog! Jan and I knew her mom was onto something when we made a trip to Jan's hometown (Bern, KS), with the boys and our dogs. . . They never left Deb's side, the dogs that is! In Deb's pocket were homemade dog treats! Jeter the Pug, Nati the Ridgeback, and Jager the Mutt, were in Nemaha County Heaven! So we stole her idea and went with it.
